A couple of years ago, my husband and a group of friends decided to go skydiving. Now, mind you I wasn't part of the group and had no intentions of ever doing anything so crazy in my life. As we drove up to the airstrip, I watched as half a dozen parachuted persons gracefully floated to the ground. I was struck by the beauty of it all. Before I knew what I was doing, I was signing up and getting into my gear to jump. Imagine that, I was actually going to jump out of a plane. Where in the world had my mind gone off to? When it was my turn, I jumped out of that plane. The peace was overwhelming. I was falling at a high rate of speed with the wind whistling through my ears. And then, the parachute came out, and there was quiet. I looked at the earth below and felt the wonder and beauty of Gods creation. I felt as if God were holding me inside his hand. It was an experience that I will cherish the rest of my life.
