Step 4
Set your stroke (foreground) and fill (background) to black #000000.
Click the Preset tool Go to the tool options and change it to rectangle.

Draw a rectangle.

Click on the Object Selector

Place it on the rectangle and click.
Select Node Edit in the drop down box.

You will need to add a node in the top middle. To do this, put your curser where you want the node to be, push ctrl on your computer and left click your mouse, this will add the node.

Right click on the node and when the dropdown box comes up choose: Node Type/Symmetric.

Stretch your node up for the top of the hair.

Add two more nodes to the bottom.

Start shaping the hair. Now add another node on the right bottom side.

Pull the new mode upwards.

When you are happy with the shape.
Right click the middle of the head when you are done, choose Quit Node Editing.

Now would be a good time to save.
*SAVE*
Go ahead and save in .psp. Saving in psp format will save all of the layers.

Step 5
Layers/Convert to Raster Layer.
Go to your layer palette, if you want and click on the layer, right click and choose rename, name it hair.

Selections/Select All, Selections/Float
Go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel, set it to these:
Bevel: The second rounded bevel on the top, Width- 14, Smoothness- 15, Depth- 12, Ambience- 0, Shininess- 50, Color- white, Angle- 0, Intensity- 50, Elevation- 30.

Selections/Select None.
Set the Foreground (stroke) and the Background (fill) to white #FFFFFF.

Click the Preset tool Go to the tool options and change it to elipse.
Draw a larger elipse, turn it to an angle. To do this move your curser around the vectored area, until you see the two circling arrows. Left click and turn.

Layers/Convert to Raster, Layers/Arrange/Send to Bottom.
Selections/Select All, Selections/Float. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Cutout. Use these settings:
Vertical- 1, Horizontal- 1, Opacity- 21, Blur- 28.8
Click ok. Go to your layer palette, if you want and click on the layer, right click and choose rename, name it ear.

Change the foreground (stroke) and background (fill) to #E3C9BB.
Draw a small elipse inside the ear, turn it to an angle that you want it to be.

Layers/Convert to Raster Layer. Go to Selections/Select All, Selections/Float.
Go to Effects/Blur/Gaussian Blur, set to 3.00

Let's clean up our palette a bit. X out all layers, but the ear, and the inside elipse that you just drew. Right click on the ear layer, choose Merge/Merge Visible. Then, right click on the layer again. Choose rename and rename the layer ear1. Un X all other layers.
Your palette should now look like this. If it doesn't move the layers

*SAVE*
Go ahead and save in .psp. Saving in psp format will save all of the layers.
